OUR WORK IN EMERGENCIES
RAPID RESPONSE IS PART OF OUR DNA
With our emergency teams on call 24 hours a day and stockpiles of essential supplies ready for deployment, we can provide vital assistance anywhere in the world when needed.
EMERGENCIES
How do we help?
We watch over the world
We observe and anticipate emergencies thanks to our on-site and digital surveillance tools. This allows us to receive alerts before a crisis occurs, analyse the situation and prepare possible response scenarios.
We provide emergency assistance
Our emergency teams travel to the affected area in the initial hours after the disaster. We assess the needs of the communities affected to understand what type of intervention is most needed. Working in coordination with local partners and community leaders, we immediately deliver life-saving supplies and care.
We think about what comes after
In an emergency, the first priority is to save lives and alleviate suffering. But an emergency response can take months or years. We continue working to get back to square one. Or to an even better place where such a situation will never happen again. We do this by helping to strengthen the resilience of local communities to future crises, local economies, improve infrastructure and plan for long-term development.
